Stronger than Diamond, Netherite is the toughest material in Minecraft! So just where can you find this glorious block?
Well, for starters you will need to head on over to the Nether. You can’t have Netherite without it! Also, finding Netherite just laying around isn’t going to happen... you’re gonna have to make it. How do you make it? You will need to dig out some Ancient Debris.
Since your Nether portal is generated at a random level in the Nether, there is no way to determine how far you will have to dig down. Pressing F3 will show you your starting position. You want to find your three coordinates: X, Y, Z. All three are important but the most helpful here is the Y-axis as this one tells you how many blocks you currently are above the bottom layer of the world.
Ancient Debris can spawn anywhere between Y-axis 8-22 in veins 1-3 blocks in size. Smaller veins, 1-2 blocks in size, are found between levels 8-119. Math dictates that the maximum amount of Ancient Debris blocks you can find in one chunk is five.

You will need to start a Nether mineshaft because Ancient Debris will only spawn if it’s covered by lava or other blocks. Start digging, you're not going to find it on the surface!
If you need to find out how to convert that Ancient Debris into Netherite you can check our other article here. Spoiler alert: it's a whole process, but it will be worth it!
