Advertise your server in server categories in the Minehut Lobby to attract new players and grow your server.
How do I create an ad?
You can create ads from the “Advertising” tab in your server panel.
Ads require you to fill out the following:
- Ad Name – name your ad so you can reference it later (this is only visible to you)
- Duration – how long your ad is active
- Budget (Credits) – how many credits you want to spend per day
- Target Categories – these are the categories where you ad is shown.
Then click “Create Ad” and your ad will go live.
Where is my ad displayed?
Ads are shown to players in server categories in the Minehut Lobby.
The top row of the Minehut server list is reserved for Server Ads. This is where your server icon will be displayed.

You can select specific categories to target when creating your ad. Your budget will be split evenly across your selected categories.
Note: Changing your server categories in the server settings section, will NOT update the targeted categories for your active ad campaigns.
How often is my server shown?
Server Ads work on a bidding system – the more you spend relative to others, the more frequently your server will be shown.
For example, if there are three servers paying for ads, the servers are displayed at different frequencies depending on their budget:
- Server owner 1: 50 Minehut Credits
- Server owner 2: 100 Minehut Credits (Server owner 2’s promoted server icon will display twice as often as server owner 1’s.)
- Server owner 3: 300 Minehut Credits (Server owner 3’s promoted server icon will display six times as often as server owner 1’s, and three times as often as server owner 2’s.)
What is the minimum daily budget?
You can get started with as little as 25 Minehut Credits per day.
How many ads can I run at
once**?**
You can run as many concurrent ads as you want, there is no limit.
What is the maximum ad duration?
You can select up to a 30 day duration for your ad.
Can I see a preview of my ad before starting my campaign**?**
Yes. Simply hover over the Ad Preview tooltip to see your ad details.
Can I cancel my ad after it’s started?
No – once you start your ad, it will start immediately and you cannot cancel it.
Note: if you change your server category while your ad is live, it will not update for that current ad.
How do I see my Server Ads performance?
You can view your Server Ads performance for live and past ads in the “Advertising” tab.
The following metrics are available:
