The Minehut community is vast, varied, and unique, welcoming players from all around the world who are 13 and older to join in on amazing experiences. Some of our players want to run their own server, some want to join build teams, some want to make a career out of Minecraft, and some just want to play the game and have fun with friends. There are many different types of people that join Minehut, and we love how diverse our community is.
To support this diversity, we need to set very clear rules so that everyone understands what we expect from our players and servers on Minehut. When you join our network, you are also joining our community, which means you agree to follow the rules below, as well our Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy. Additionally, you also agree to follow the guidelines and rules of any underlying platforms (such as Discord's TOS or Minecraft's EULA/MUG in-game). Failure to follow these guidelines and policies can result in penalties, up to and including a permanent ban from our services.
Creating safe experiences is at the core of our mission at GamerSafer, the owners of Minehut, and it’s a key value for players engaging in games like Minecraft. Please read and follow the rules below carefully. Keep in mind that these rules are not exhaustive; we reserve the right to restrict or remove your access from Minehut’s community for any reason and at any time, particularly if we believe your behavior is disrupting the positive community environment we strive to maintain.
Jurisdiction –– What Rules Apply Where
Minehut is a global community spanning several platforms and services. Our expectations across them are consistent, but the means of enforcement vary:
a) On some platforms, such as our in-game Lobby or the Minehut Discord, we directly moderate member activities.
i. Users (also referred to as players) may report violations here, and we can check logs to verify an infraction has occurred
b) Other platforms, like social media sites, and different areas of Discord (such as DMs, other servers, video and audio calls) we cannot moderate
i. We encourage users to report incidents directly to those platforms
a. Click here to report a user to Discord
ii. While we cannot moderate on those platforms directly, using those platforms to attack Minehut, GamerSafer, or our player communities can result in punishments within our network
c) Player servers that are connected to the Minehut network, where possible, we leave for server owners to monitor.
i. We expect servers to comply with the CUG, MUG, and other expectations set forth by Minecraft itself:
a. We do not decide if a server violates the Minecraft EULA: you can report the servers directly to Mojang here.
ii. We insist that player servers maintain the core of this ruleset, ensuring that all users are treated equally, but allow them to differ in some cases:
a. Player servers may allow in-game behavior as they choose (such as hacking or griefing on an anarchy server) provided it is controlled and does not lead to a hostile environment.
b. Player servers can create and enforce a server ruleset as they see fit, provided it does not contradict our rules or Minecraft's, and ensures all users are treated fairly
Note: Owners handle appeals for punishments on their own servers, Minehut cannot remove punishments issued by a player server owner or staff team.
iii. We review behavior as users report it to us and suspend servers or issue punishments to players as needed. To submit a report to our team, click here.
