Why are Minehut Accounts Migrating?
Recently, Minehut announced that we would be working towards adding new functionality to our website dashboard, such as sub-users and 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication). This process of adding these features begins with migrating Minehut accounts from the current system to a fully rebuilt backend, giving us the flexibility and scalability to expand.
Starting in May 2024, Minehut users will begin to see their accounts migrated from Auth0 to this new in-house system following a simple process to get access to the same dashboard, servers, ranks, cosmetics, and other Minehut services they’ve already been using.
How do I migrate my Minehut account?
After the account migration process has started rolling out, you will see a new login page the next time you try to access the dashboard. You will type your email address that you’ve always used on Minehut.
After you type your email address, you will be sent an email to that address asking you to verify you are the account owner and to reset your password. After you have verified your email and set your new password, your account will be successfully migrated.
You do not need to access any special page or take any other steps after that.

Why do I need to reset my password?
For security reasons we must ask all users to reset their passwords when they log into their account for the first time after their account is migrated. You can use the same password that you had before, but we recommend setting a new one instead.
What if I can’t access my Minehut email address?
Unfortunately, Minehut requires that you have access to your email address to verify that you are the account owner. If you need help migrating your paid services or you are unable to log into your account due to not having access to your email address, you can open a support ticket or email us at support@minehut.com
Will migrating my account delete my servers, purchases, or other account history?
Not at all! The only thing that will be changing is your password. The rest of your account settings, servers, purchases, or other features will remain exactly the same. Your past transaction history will be transferred to your migrated account automatically (you won’t even notice it happen).
Will my in-game ranks, cosmetics, servers, friends, minigame scores, or history change?
No. Your in-game activity is connected to your Minecraft account. While this might also be linked to your Minehut website account, your in-game activity will not be affected. You can learn more about linking and unlinking your Minehut account here.
Can I share my Minehut account with my server staff?
No. Minehut accounts are meant to be used by a single individual person, and not by staff teams or groups of players. We will be introducing sub-users so that your friends and staff team members can help you manage your servers later this year.
Do I have to use a real email address on my new account?
Yes. Minehut accounts require a real, valid email address. If you attempt to create or use an account that does not have a valid email address, you might be locked out of your account permanently as we do not have a way to verify you are the owner.
Verifying the account owner using their email address is for account security and safety purposes. Anyone could pretend to be someone else and attempt to take control of an account, so we require that the email address to valid and used by the owner of the Minehut account.
Can I change the email address on my Minehut account?
Not at this time. We will add a feature to let you change your Minehut account email address later this year. If you need help changing your email address now because you do not have access to your currently linked email address, you can contact support.
Can I create multiple Minehut accounts?
No. Minehut accounts are intended to be used one-per-person.
What if I forgot what email I used to create my account?
It is your responsibility to keep track of the valid email address you used to create your Minehut account. Unfortunately, if you don’t know your email address, then neither will our support team. We cannot verify that you are the owner of an account with screenshots.
Can you transfer my purchases and account history to a new account?
No. Your account history, purchases, servers, ranks, etc… will only be migrated to an account with the same email address. We cannot move account details to a different account with a different email address, because we cannot verify who the owner of the account is.
Migrating your purchases, servers, and account history to an account with the same email address will be done automatically (you won’t even notice it happen).
Can I enable 2FA on my Minehut account?
Not at this time, but we are working on adding this feature this summer.
Can I change the password for my new Minehut account after it is migrated?
Yes! In fact, we encourage you to change your password and use strong password hygiene to keep your Minehut account safe. Consider looking into a password manager if you do not already use one.
I'm seeing a red error message when trying to create an account
If you are seeing an error message that says "WE'RE SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG WHEN ATTEMPTING TO SIGN UP", this means your browser is still using the old sign up page instead of the new one. Please ensure you are signing up by clicking the "Sign Up / Log In" button on the top right of the Minehut website, or visit the following link: https://app.minehut.com/signup/new
