Minehut in Hytale is open to players 13 and older, and joining means you agree to follow these rules, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy. You also agree to follow the rules of the platforms we run on, including Hytale's own terms and policies and Discord's Terms of Service. Breaking these rules can lead to penalties, up to and including a permanent ban.
Creating safe experiences is at the core of GamerSafer's mission. These rules are not exhaustive: we may restrict or remove access for any behavior that disrupts the positive community we work to maintain.
1. Accounts and Eligibility
You must be 13 or older to play, register on our website, or join our Discord; accounts found to belong to younger players are permanently banned unless age is verified.
- Account sharing is not permitted. We aren't responsible for damage caused by a shared account.
- Use of compromised, stolen, or bot accounts is not allowed.
- Using alternate accounts to evade a punishment will result in additional punishments.
2. Respect, Harassment, and Threats
Treat everyone with respect; bullying, harassment, hate speech, and threats are not allowed anywhere on our platforms. This includes:
- Continuing to interact with someone who has tried to disengage
- Singling out a player or group for ridicule or abuse
- Sexual harassment of any kind
- Starting arguments on purpose or encouraging others to break the rules
- Encouraging self-harm, including abbreviations like "kys"
- Demeaning or attacking anyone based on race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, disability, or any other core characteristic
- Threatening violence, property damage, doxxing, swatting, or digital attacks such as DDoS
We may contact law enforcement about credible threats of harm.
3. Keep It PG
Our community includes players of all ages, so everything you post, say, or build must stay PG. Avoid:
- Profanity, including misspellings, symbols, or other tricks to get past filters
- Sexual or romantic content of any kind, including innuendo, roleplay, or seeking relationships
- References to alcohol, tobacco, or illegal drugs
- Real-world gambling, or gambling with real or virtual currency
- Extreme gore, animal abuse, or graphic violence
- Recreations of real-world tragedies, such as mass shootings, terrorist attacks, or specific natural disasters
- Political or religious debates, and inflammatory content about real-world conflicts or borders
4. Child Safety
We have zero tolerance for endangering anyone under 18; violations result in a permanent ban, regardless of the offender's age or whether it was "a joke." This includes:
- Grooming or any predatory behavior
- Sexualizing minors, or sexual conversations with or about minors
- Requesting, sharing, or discussing inappropriate images of minors
- Expressing attraction to minors or seeking out minors to play with
We report these violations to the appropriate authorities where required.
5. Personal Information and Links
Never share or ask for personal information, real or fake, about yourself or anyone else. This includes names, ages or birthdays, emails, passwords, IP addresses, home addresses, phone numbers, school or workplace names, photos, and payment details.
External links are not allowed in public chat to ensure player safety.
6. Chat and Spam
Keep chat readable and on topic. Don't:
- Send repetitive or high-volume messages, or ask others to flood chat
- Mass-ping or ghost-ping on Discord, or misuse channels
- Spam private messages
- Post song lyrics
7. Scams, Impersonation, and Deception
Deceiving other players or our team is not allowed. This includes:
- Posting phishing or scam links
- Asking for passwords or access to someone else's account
- Impersonating staff, other players, or the Minehut or GamerSafer brand
- Asking players for direct personal payments
- False advertising, such as promising rewards you don't deliver
- Filing false reports against players, servers, or our team
- Tricking or pressuring others into breaking the rules
- Using unusual fonts or characters to get past filters
8. Cheating, Exploits, and Fair Play
Play fair: cheats, hacked clients, macros, and exploits are not allowed in our official hubs, game modes, events, or competitions.
Report bugs and exploits to our team instead of using or sharing them.
9. Usernames, Avatars, and Creations
Everything you create must follow these rules, including usernames and avatars. We may remove content or punish players for anything that is:
- Sexually suggestive or explicit
- Hateful, extremist, or discriminatory
- Profane or obscene, even if censored or misspelled
- Violent, gory, or related to self-harm or drugs
- Advertising, including usernames used to promote a server
- Revealing personal information such as your age or location
10. Reports and Appeals
Report rule violations through our ticket system; for privacy reasons, we don't share the results of investigations. If you were muted, banned, or suspended, you may appeal through the same system.
- Submitting an appeal does not guarantee your punishment will be removed.
- Some violations, such as child safety violations, are not appealable.
- Submit one appeal per punishment, within 15 days of the punishment. Duplicate appeals may lead to a ticket ban.
- Only the punished player or server owner may appeal.
- Warnings and punishments shorter than one week can only be appealed if they were issued in error.
- Evading a punishment leads to additional punishments on every account involved.
Rule Change Policy
GamerSafer reserves the right to suspend or refuse service to any user or server at any time, at its discretion.
These Rules may be amended, modified, or supplemented by GamerSafer officials periodically without notice. GamerSafer officials at all times may act with the necessary authority to preserve the best interests of GamerSafer. This power is not constrained by the lack of specific language in this document. GamerSafer officials may use any form of punitive action at their disposal, including permanent bans across all platforms, against any entity whose conduct is not within the confines of the best interests of GamerSafer.
